What a crazy week it has been. Lots of stuff accomplished….windows in the City Homestead were cleaned inside and out, hubby got started on the dreaded hedge trimming, lawn and garden all work done, the hot tub has been drained and cleaned out for the summer, interior Spring cleaning is done and the weather has finally warmed up enough that I was able to start hardening off my seedlings in preparation for planting outside next week…oh, and I think we had our regular jobs to do amongst all that too….
I am also trying to think up/devise a protective netting/cover thingie to be assembled for the Northern Homestead garden. Lest the deer, bunnies and groundhogs think I planted a buffet just for them…I will post how it turns out, so keep your fingers crossed.
Oh, by the way, last week’s dinner item of the Beer Battered Haddock went over with hubby so well that it will be added to the meal rotation, albeit not as regularly due to its deep fried nature, maybe once a month or so. I will post the recipe too, courtesy of a Food Network Chef (can’t remember his name at the moment though), it really was dee-lish and worth sacrificing a beer for.
Here is next week’s dinner inspiration, hubby should be thrilled…pizza two nights in a row!
Have a great weekend everyone ~ supposed to be stellar weather here!
